Bruce Benson Ranch Colorado

We’re the
Busted Bones.

We play a fun mix of Country Twang and Rock n’ Roll favorites from the 1940’s all the way through the 1980’s and beyond.

Our middle name is “Upbeat”… so it’s a peppy good time for all.

If you like Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash, the Beach Boys, the Derailers, Buck Owens, Dwight Yoakum, Johnny Rivers, JJ Cale… or the Beatles… we’ve got something for you!

Lots of Twang n’ Roll.
Lots of fun!

We Play Songs By….

And More of Your Favorites!

The Busted Bones are…

Ted Parks
Fender Telecaster Guitar

Bones founder, lead guitarist, and Denver orthopedic surgeon Ted Parks needed an outlet for his supreme twangy-ness… thus, the Bones. Ted works artistry with actual bones and with his catchy guitar work.

Doug Hunley
Bass

Doug and Ted have known each other since 4th grade. The guitar playing started in high school. Then a long hiatus … and now we’re back at it.

Scott Hoops
Drums

Scott is a super versatile drummer who can bang out toe-tapping rhythms on anything from a full kit to his amazing “slap top” cajon (and probably on a cardboard box as well). He chimes in with fatastic singing harmony, and a lead or two. He’s truly the backBONE of everything we play!

Steve Angus
Saxophone and more!

Steve is a sax player par excellence! Steve has played in everything from orchestras to polka bands and… you name it!  Steve studied music in Michigan before bringing his saxophone coolness to Boulder. He’s also a magical sound engineer who keeps up sounding great!

We Love Our Exciting Guests!

Whenever we can, we love to have wonderful musical guests join us for a song or two. Most recently, we had the good fortune to have Sarah Vigo grace the stage. An honorary “4th Bone”, Sarah sang with us at the Belly Up in Aspen, and around Denver.

Colorado-based music icon Hazel Miller did a couple songs with us at the Dive Inn…. amazing treat we won’t forget. Come see our next guest!
